“Hudson Pierce remains as one of the most intriguing heroes I’ve read this year.” ~ Under the Covers
The Fixed trilogy is one of those series that puts you through the ringer. It will cause you to love it one moment and then hate it the next. With the amount of drama and emotions involved in this book, you can expect a fast-rising rollercoaster ride as you read about Hudson Pierce and the lucky woman who gets to call him hers.
A lot of the conflict involves trust. With secrets hiding in the shadows and outside forces trying to break them apart, it will test Hudson and Alayna’s bond to its limits, just to see if they love each other enough to be together through it all.
Again, I found myself falling deeper and deeper in love with Hudson. What a man. He is sensitive when he needs to be and downright dirty when it’s the right time too. I love that about him.
And then there’s Alayna, who still struggles with her ability trust fully and not question herself. What I like about Alayna’s character is that through all this, it is a learning process. Her growth is shown in so many ways throughout this book. Although plenty mistakes are made, I think it’s all part of the journey and when the route is this rough and rocky, sometimes getting there in the end if worth it all. In this case, I think Paige did a wonderful job of manipulating reader’s emotions and creating a very alluring ride.
I know Paige plans on writing another book from Hudson’s POV so that will be very interesting to read because I am dying to know what was going through his head through all this. Nevertheless, Hudson Pierce remains as one of the most intriguing heroes I’ve read this year.
