Mary Calmes always has the ability to create admirable characters whom readers absolutely adore. Tracy Brandt and Cord Nolan are no exception.

Pairing two opposites is what Calmes does best. Tracy is the all around good guy who just happens to find himself caught up in a world of trouble. Readers first meet him running from a reigning fire of bullets. It seems as though someone is out to hurt him and it all connects to Tracy’s cheating ex. As more and more targets are revealed, putting others in danger, Cord is taking Tracy’s safety into his own hands.

Much like my favorites, Jory and Sam, Tracy and Cord exhibit a love/hate relationship. As Tracy’s brother’s partner and former manwhore, readers can expect entertaining sexual tension between the two. Infused in the story is Calmes’ trademark humor, which makes all her books absolutely fabulous and endearing.

If you’re a loyal fan of Mary Calmes, FLOODGATES will give you much to cheer about.

  1. Thanks for the review. I am a new fan of her work. This is the second positive review I have read on this book. Good thing it is already in the TBR pile.
