MET HER MATCH by Sierra Cartwright – 3 stars
This is my first venture into Sierraโs writing so I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed this story. MET HER MATCH is a book from Cartwrightโs Hawkeye series. I havenโt read the others and I think that did put me at a disadvantage. Cartwright doesnโt really adequately explain what the Hawkeye series is, making it a little hard for new readers like me to really get with the story in that regard.
However, I did like her writing style and voice. I enjoyed the Irish flair that she added into Master Torin. He was a stern Dom, but a fair one. I also found that Miraโs strength was nicely displayed even as she fully gave herself over to Torin.
Overall, it was a nice introduction to Cartwrightโs work. Iโll be looking forward to other titles by her.
EDUCATING EVANGELINE by Belina McBride – 3 stars
EDUCATING EVANGELINE was my second favorite book of this anthology. Also as my first book by McBride, I found that I immediately enjoyed her writing style. It was easy, flowing and eloquent. But perhaps the best thing about this story is the way McBride is able to integrate the paranormal elements so effortlessly. As the only paranormal shape-shifting story in this anthology, McBride could either have stood out greatly or could have been overshadowed by the BDSM contemporaries. I think she managed to hold her own and delivered a story that was solid, filled with lore and love.
SIMON SAYS: MINE by Cherise Sinclair – 5 stars
Just reading the title gives me Goosebumps and Sinclairโs story in this anthology was the shining star! Sinclair was the #1 reason why I decided to read this anthology in the first place and boy, does she deliver!!
Master Simon is one of the more popular Doms at Dark Haven and he holds the key to my heart. I loved how he handled Rona, a more tentative and older submissive. They are such a pair and Sinclair gives them a story that is definitely worth checking out. If you are a fan of MASTER OF THE MOUNTAIN, then this has a similar feel to it. Just know that you will be begging for more after reading this!

Thanks for the review Ann.
Great review Annie!! I need to read Cherise Sinclair – I’ve heard so much about them.
Re: Belinda McBride, since you enjoyed her writing so much, I HIGHLY recommend Blacque/Bleu to you. it is excellent!! A m/m story about a vamp and a shifter ~ hot, angsty, and awesome. ๐
Thanks Leigh!
I hadn’t realized that Blacque/Bleu was written by the same author! I’m definitely going to check it out! Thannks!
Keep me posted when you get to it. There isn’t a lot of really good paranormal m/m (that i’ve found), but this is great, and let me tell you, there are parts of this that got me to thinking about Qhuinn and Blay, and how amazing that story can potentially be! BOOYAH!! hehehe ๐
I enjoyed this anthology especially Cherise’s story!
