“UNDENIABLE is raw, dark, gritty, intense and uncut.Β Definitely not for the faint of heart, but good thing I’m not easily offended because this book ROCKED MY WORLD.Β Might just be my top read of the year.” ~Under the Covers
What a ride this book was!Β I’m always scared going into reading a book that has this much hype around it, and UNDENIABLE scared me.Β It was first recommended by a good friend when it first came out and I added it to the never ending TBR.Β Then a lot of friends of mine read it and raved about it.Β But I have to thank Kitty for kicking my butt into starting this after I met her this week.Β She told me it was an addicting read and that was the final straw.Β I HAD to see what everyone was talking about.Β And when I started, I admit I did so with apprehension.
Needless to say, the author won me over from the very first chapter.Β I was captivated by Eva, an adorable five year old with a lot of personality who just happens to be the daughter of the head of a motorcycle gang from New York.Β And she’s visiting her father in jail.Β There she meets Deuce who, at 23, is also the son of the head of a motorcycle gang from Montana, sort of her dad’s enemies and sometimes business associates.Β She charms her way into Deuce’s heart, and into mine.Β And just the same way, Deuce imprinted himself into Eva’s heart.
Deuce moves on to make some tough decisions and take over the Horseman gang.Β Eva grows up as the Demons gang princess.Β Their paths cross a few times over the years but their relationship, despite their love and attraction, never seems to come to an HEA.Β And then things go downhill.
UNDENIABLE is raw, dark, gritty, intense and uncut.Β Definitely not for the faint of heart, but good thing I’m not easily offended because this book ROCKED MY WORLD.Β Might just be my top read of the year.Β The emotions are very close to the surface and in your face and nothing is sugar coated.Β Although there were many things that, in theory, would turn me off from reading or enjoying a book, such as the fact that 23 year old Deuce had paid so much attention to a little girl throughout the years while she was so clearly underage for him to pay attention to; the fact that this book has rape (not by the hero) and cheating which I usually steer clear of with very few exceptions; or maybe the fact that it deals with some disrespect to women by men and by the women themselves.Β When I think of everything this book dealt with all I can say is that the author did a SUPERB job at making every single thing that happened and was said be an important and necessary part of this story.Β And none of it bothered me the way I thought it would.
Seems hard to believe, but yes without rape and jerkish moments this story wouldn’t be what it was and that would just be a shame because Eva and Deuce couldn’t get to their HEA.Β Now, I’m not saying that Eva and Deuce are perfect.Β They are some of the most screwed up individuals around.Β In Eva’s case I have to blame her dad for being oblivious to what was happening in his daughters life and how far in a corner she got with her relationship with Frankie.Β And with Deuce it was his whole life.Β He never had it easy and just didn’t know any other way to be.Β But without every single thing that happened they couldn’t have ended up together and made it real.Β Even though it broke my heart.
And speaking of breaking my heart, this book had me in tears more than once.Β From the very beginning I got teary eyed, every so often in the story, definitely towards the end, and again as I write this.Β It tore my heart out and stomped on it a few times.Β But then it was uplifting and it had me melting.Β It was the perfect roller coaster ride of emotions.
It was sad in a way to see the light that was Eva instead of growing was extinguishing as the book went on and things happened.Β But what a tough woman she was throughout it all.Β Loyal and loving, trying to make everyone she cared about happy and sacrificing EVERYTHING, and I mean everything.Β That’s why she’s my top bitch, because she went from a chick I would love to hang out with because she was fun and cool, to a woman that had been beaten down by life who fought to come out on top.
I think I fell in love with Deuce early on in this book.Β Maybe I have a sick liking for bad boys but he pushed all my buttons and pulled the strings of my heart from the time he beat a bunch of teenagers that were trash talking Eva when she was just 12.Β But Deuce is not a “good” bad boy.Β He’s all bad, all the way around.Β He’s a jerk and a scumbag at times, but even then I could see past what he was doing to what he was feeling and my heart was breaking for the loneliness and anger inside of him.Β He loved Eva and sometimes he didn’t show it the way he should, but that was part of who he was and why things had to happen the way they did.
Then there are the other characters in the book.Β Eva’s best friend, Kami, is a rich society girl from New York who grew up with Eva.Β She’s also another sad case.Β Misunderstood, unloved by her family who didn’t care two cents about her and married her off for connections.Β I loved her and I was so sad for her.Β She had no self respect and just wanted to get some enjoyment out of life however she could.Β But she was always there, fighting for her friend.Β ‘Til the end and through everything.Β Her husband, Chase, I have to say I just hated him.Β But I also understand his sick point of view.Β In a way.Β The Horseman boys, especially Ripper and Cox, were a biker head case and I couldn’t wrap my mind around why they did what they did in their personal lives.Β But I was happy to see a change in them.Β And then there’s Frankie…although he’s a frightening bad guy, he’s also such a lost soul.Β He was sick and demented, scary as hell, but at the same time so sad.Β Every single character in this story added something to it, there were no fillers.
Now, I’m not going to sit here and tell you what happens because you just have to read the book.Β I devoured these 200+ pages in about 12 hours (including my beauty sleep, because I started the book when I went to bed).Β I couldn’t put this down, even when I went to the bathroom.Β I rarely have impulses to re-read books but I can guarantee you this will be one of those that I will.
What an amazingly FUCKED UP life these people had, I couldn’t have been happier to see that they got an HEA and to feel part of everything that happened along with them.Β Even though I wanted to read more about Eva and Deuce’s HEA than what we got.
Favorite Quotes:
βPromise me youβll stay that way, yeah?Β You and me kid, we were fuckinβ born in the life, reared by the road and the wheel; itβs what we know and where we belong but that donβt mean it wonβt take its toll.Β So you promise me, no matter what you see, no matter what sort of fucked up shit happens to you.Β Donβt let this life turn you bitter.β
“He’d lost his motherfucking mind.Β None of this should be happening.
But there it was.
…the road to hell is paved with good intentions, and he’d just bought himself a one way ticket.”
“He was a simple man.Β He liked kegs, country music, and down home pussy.Β He didn’t see the need to dress up the fact that he was getting drunk and laid.Β It was all the same in the end.Β Sloppy kissing, skin slapping, and a nasty hangover.Β Why the fuck put a decorative umbrella on it?”
“Because, baby, I’m wild pussy, and wild pussy can’t be bought.Β Wild pussy doesn’t like having pretty things thrown at it and being expected to do the samba on someone’s cock in return.Β Wild pussy doesn’t do deals.Β Wild pussy lives free and for itself and takes it however it likes it – on a bed, on a couch, on the hood of a car, in a bathroom stall, or up against a wall in an alleyway – and it laughs the entire time.Β I’ve known you for a while now, Chase.Β I know you’ve never had wild pussy, and I know you never will.Β Wild pussy doesn’t fuck uptight cock.Β And, it sure as hell doesn’t like silk boxers.”
“Fuckin’ listen, Eva, and listen good.Β Words are shit, and I ain’t good with them anyway.Β So, here’s the fuckin’ truth for you, straight up.Β I’m forty-eight years old, gonna be forty-nine all too soon, and I damn well know a good thing when I see it.Β And, babe, all I’ve ever been able to fuckin’ see is you.Β Not many chances a man has in his lifetime to do right, to earn the love of a good woman, and to get a taste of true freedom.Β And, babe, for me, you’re all fuckin’ three.Β Have been for a good while now.”
βWhat about your dream?β
His face went dimples. βIβm lookinβ at it, darlinβ.β

Deuce wasnβt gonna lie. His hair pulled tightly back, dressed in his leathers, a clean
white tee and his Horsemen cut, standing there in the middle of a mother fucking gazebo,
decorated with mother fucking flowers, he felt damn uncomfortable. Didnβt help that Mick, Cox,
and Ripper were laughing at him and standing across from them was Kami, Danny and Dorothy,
all dressed in matching black dresses, also laughing at him.
Yeah, real fucking funny. Bet they wouldnβt think it was funny if he pulled out his glock
and took out their knees. Except for Danny. He wouldnβt shoot his baby. Just glare at her until
she ran away. Which she wouldnβt because she never did, because she wasnβt scared of him.
His feisty little girl had her motherβs tough as nails personality. Funny that Danny being the way
she was didnβt bother him in the least but her mother, his ex Christine, had irked him to no end.
Nostrils flaring, shifting uncomfortably, he glared at the minister, an older woman with
long white hair, dressed in white and purple robes, smiling serenely back at him.
He caught himself before he growled at her.
Why the fuck was he getting married?
Again?
Because he sure as fuck fucked it up the last time. He didnβt know the first thing about
how to be aβ¦husband. All he knew, all heβd ever known was how to be a provider. To make
sure the people he loved were safe, well fed and warm and in Dannyβs case and now Eva and
Ivyβs, spoiled shitless too. Although, he figured the giant shoe pile of chucks in his foyer was a
pretty good tradeoff for the woman he had in his bed.
But a husbandβ¦
He didnβt do husband. What the fuck did husbands do anyway? He sure as hell didnβt do
it right with Christine. She had wanted so much more from him then heβd been willing to give.
Then heβd known how to give. Sheβd wanted to bend him to her will, own him even.
Aw, jesusβ¦he couldnβt pretend to be someone he wasnβt. He couldnβt put a ring on
Evaβs finger. He couldnβt fuck her up like he had Christine. Like he did everything.
βPrez,β Mick whispered, leaning over.
His head snapped left. βWhat?β He snarled.
Mickβs lips twitched. βNothinβ Prez, just thought maybe youβd wanna watch your bitch
walkinβ down the aisle.β Mickβs chin jerked left and his gaze followed.
And suddenly he didnβt give two fucks about how he was gonna fare as a husband or how
many mistakes he was gonna make, which was gonna be a lot because, wellβ¦that was what he
was best at.
No, he didnβt care about anything else in the world except for his woman, the sweetest
kid heβd ever met, the smartest too, a kid whoβd turned into the sexiest woman heβd ever seen,
a woman who didnβt just love with her whole heart but with her body and soul, a woman who,
time and time again, brought him to his fucking knees, had him praying to a god he didnβt
believe in just so he could keep her by his side.
A woman whose mother-fucking smile made the world and life seem somewhat livable.
Even worth it sometimes.
On the arm of Preacher, her old man, was his Eva. Her soft hair hung long in dark brown
waves, her makeup was minimal and her dress was a simple, strapless white cotton sundress
that hung to her knees. His gaze traveled down her silky smooth legs to her feet and his chest
constricted. Black chucks. And not just any black chucks but her oldest pair. Ratty, doodled on,
coming apart at the seams, the same oneβs sheβd been wearing the very first time heβd kissed her
back when sheβd been way too young for him and heβd lost complete control of himself and his
better judgment.
Eva came to a stop at the bottom step of the gazebo and looked up at him, her big gray
eyes shining, her juicy lips twitching something fierce, trying not to smile while Preacher straight
up glared at him. He glared back. If her old man wanted a fight he was gonna get one.
βYo, Prez,β Cox laughed, βYouβre gonna wanna go get her, yeah?β
Oh. Right.
He strode forward, taking all three steps at once and grabbed Eva away from Preacher
and started yanking her back up the stairs. The faster they could get this shit over with the faster
he could get her alone. And set to working on kid number two.
Preacher yanked her back and the two of them spent another good minute glaring at one
another.
βYouβll always be my baby girl,β Preacher whispered, giving Eva a kiss on the cheek
while shooting daggers at him.
Yeah fucking right, he thought as he finished dragging Eva up the steps. Eva was his.
All his. Ainβt no man, not even her father should be thinking otherwise.
βI have a bra on,β Eva whispered, unable to fight her grin any longer. βItβs my something
new.β
He couldnβt help himself and burst out laughing. She was just so damnβ¦perfect.
βSomething old,β She continued, pointing at her feet.
βSomething borrowed.β She grabbed his gold Horsemenβs tag around her neck. The one
that had βDeuceβ inscribed on the back.
βBorrowed for fuckinβ ever,β He said gruffly. Ainβt no way she was ever giving that
back.
Her grin grew.
βMy dress is white,β She continued, βAnd Iβm wearing your blue boxers.β
The entire wedding party roared with laughter.
βOh Evie,β Kami sighed, βI told you not to do that!β
βFuckinβ hell,β He muttered, grabbing her arm and turning her towards the minister.
βLetβs get this fuckinβ circus over withβ,β He growled.
Still smiling, although shooting Eva strange looks, the minister ushered them closer.
βReady?β The minister asked.
βFuck yeah,β He said gruffly. βThis bitch is mine.β
This time the entire yard erupted in laughter. Except for Eva. She was staring up at him,
her smile wide, her eyes soft. Damn those eyes, drowning him in nothing but Eva.
βI, Eva Fox, take you, Cole West, to be my beloved husband,β Eva softly repeated. βTo
have and to hold you, to honor you, to treasure you, to be at your side in sorrow and in joy, in the good times, and in the bad, and to love and cherish you always. I promise you this, baby, from
the bottom of my heart, for all the days of my life.β
He stared down at her, burning with a whole mess of emotions he was helpless to turn
off. Burning because he knew heβd never get enough of her, burning because he wanted to
pick her up, take her inside the clubhouse, strip her naked and knock her up again just to make
sure sheβd never leave. Burning because after all the shit they went through, the pain, the loss,
the heartache, the straight up evil brutality that made them question everything theyβd thought
to be true and had nearly driven them apart for good, he knew heβd do anything for herβ¦steal
anything, kill anyoneβ¦be anyoneβ¦
Even a fucking husband.
βBaby,β Eva whispered, grinning. βItβs your turn.β
He glanced over at the waiting minister, then back at Eva. βWhat she said,β He grunted.
Then he turned to their guests.
βThis is it,β He bellowed. βThis here is me and fuckinβ Eva and this is our fuckinβ road
and anyone who doesnβt like it, anyone whoβs got somethinβ fucked up to say, can get the fuck
off our road!β
The crowd, his boys, their family and friends, even Preacher, erupted in happy jeers and
raucous laughter.
βYou may kiss your bride,β The minister sighed, shaking her head.
He didnβt waste any time, he grabbed his woman, his wife, his Eva and lifted her off her
feet and crushed her to him. Her legs wrapped around his waist, her arms around his neck and
their mouths crashed together.
βBout fuckinβ time!β Blue bellowed from his place at the bar.
Born to be Wild blasted through the outside speakers and drowned out the cheering.
Eva pulled away laughing, happy tears rolling down her cheeks. He curled his hand into
a fist and ran his knuckles down the side of her face.
βThere it is,β He whispered.
βWhat?β She whispered back.
βYou Eva. Just fuckinβ you.β
Mick rolled his eyes. βIdiots,β He muttered. βIβm surrounded by idiots.β
Kami threw herself across the aisle at Cox.
Dorothy buried her face in her hands, her veil of red hair shielding her from view, and
burst into tears.
And Dannyβ¦he paused to study his oldest daughter.
βMama!β Ivy cried out, gunning for Eva. Eva turned away from him to bend down and
catch their daughter as she toddled into her arms.
He turned back to Danny, worried about the strange expression on her face. He followed
her line of sight toβ¦
Ripper.
They appeared to be having some kind of staring contest, the rest of the world forgotten,
no winner in sight.
βYo, Danny!β ZZ said, appearing beside his daughter, startling her. She turned to ZZ.
βYou wanna dance?β
Danny shot one last look at Ripper, turned back to ZZ and nodded. He watched them
walk off already planning on how many different ways he was gonna beat ZZ to death, then got
up in his Sgt. at Arms face.
βWhat was that?β He growled.
Ripper eyed him boldly. βWhat was what?β
His nostrils flared. βYou. Danny. What. Was. It.β
βBaby,β Eva said, wedging herself in between them. βI wanna dance.β
Of course she did. She always had him doing stupid shit like dancing. And for some
reason he was always doing it even though he fucking hated it.
βLater,β He promised Ripper and allowed his new wife to drag him off.
βWhen can we get the fuck outta here?β He asked her.
Laughing, she wrapped her arms around his neck and tucked her beautiful body against
his. βI love you Deuce,β She giggled. βSo, so much.β
βBabe,β He said softly, holding her tightly, βFuckinβ yeah.β
βOne more thing,β She said.
βYeah?β
βYouβre mine.β
He grinned. He sure as fuck was.
THE END.

Yes, def intense but it worked. Hope you decide to read it sometime.
Great Review Fran! It’s been like 3 weeks since I read this and I still think about it. Deuce and Eva’s story just sticks with you. Their love story was definitely a hard journey but I was totally rooting from the moment they met.
Thanks Cimmaron! I’m sure it’ll be one of those stories we think about for a while after, and then the second book will come out and we’ll be thinking about it all over again LOL
Francesca,
You know that I just finished this and LURVED the fuck out of it π
So, yeah—these two were pulling me in several directions the entire time I read it.
GREAT rec from you, my friend.

Loved this book and cannot wait to read more from this series. It was definitely one of my favorite reads of 2012. Loved reading this deleted scene too!
Glad you enjoyed the deleted scene. I think it shouldn’t have been deleted π LOL
Wow…that was really great…thanks so much for sharing. It was a very difficult read for me…very gritty, but I had to see what everyone was talking about. I am glad that I did and it will stay with me a long time. Not sure if I could read it again though. But I do appreciate the author…it was well written.
It’s not an easy read by any means, but I think the author did an amazing job. I still think about it. π
You really made quite a few fantastic items within your blog post,
