Do you ever pick up books that are completely out of your comfort zone? I like to do it sometimes and that’s exactly why I picked up this book. I have never read C.D. Reiss before because, frankly, I didn’t think I would like it. But, I have had a few books surprise me this year so I thought I would give this novella a chance.

Well, it just goes to show that you do know your own tastes very well. I wasn’t into this book. If you like an erotic, angsty tale then this is going to be the start of a series that, no doubt, you will love. Personally, I don’t like erotic angsty tales. They irritate rather than titillate. Because of this, I could appreciate why other people enjoy this series, sadly for me it just didn’t land.spacer

  3. I’m not sure this can count as a “review.” I have absolutely no idea what this book is about, only that there’s angst.
