“The THIRDS series just might be a new favorite of mine.”

Where have you been all my life? As an avid M/M Romance reader, I’m always on the lookout for the latest and greatest when it comes to good books in the genre. But I’m totally late on this bandwagon because CATCH A TIGER BY THE TAIL is book six in the THIRDS series. I read SMOKE & MIRRORS first and pretty much fell in love with the writing and characters that I went ahead and grabbed the other books in the series. This time, however, I opted for the audiobooks and realized that I’m in for a treat because the narrator of this series is great! I just love how he is able to distinguish all the voices from one another and also add a little bit of sound effects that really bring the action scenes to life.
Now if you’re a long-time fan of this series, Calvin and Ethan’s story is one that’s been long-coming. They’ve been best friends for forever and in this book, their friendship finally evolves into something more. One of my favorite things about these books is that the romances are the focal point of each book. While there’s still a lot of amazing action scenes and tense moments, the romance is really what sold me on getting the entire series based on reading one book. Cochet does an amazing job of fulfilling reader’s wishes and giving them what they want. She doesn’t string these along for very long and the sweet moments seem to be what carries a lot of this book.
Of course, a THIRDS book wouldn’t be one if it didn’t have the tense action moments. But Cochet does a goof job of creating just the right amount without overshadowing the character’s relationships with one another. I really just think that these books are well-written and well-balanced. Regardless of whether or not you read M/M Romance, these books are just good. Period.
If the rest of the books in the series are just as good as these ones have been, the THIRDS series just might be a new favorite of mine. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me next!
