“I love it just as much as I did when I started”
~ Under the Covers
Can you believe we are on book 16 of the Ice Planet Barbarians series? AND that I love it just as much as I did when I started. Normally, by book 16 I would expect some serious series fatigue, but, it still hasn’t happened. If you haven’t started this series than start at book 1, although the romance itself can be read as standalone, everything else would be very confusing.
Despite my aforementioned love of this series, for some reason I wasn’t looking forward to this book so I put it off for ages. On one hand, poor Taushen has been in this series since book #1 and has had to watched everyone but him get mated; I was almost as desperate as he was for him to find his special someone. On the other hand I wasn’t that keen on Brooke, which is what ultimately stopped me from gobbling it up as soon as I got it.
I can’t believe I didn’t have faith in Ruby Dixon, she never lets me down. Although Brooke isn’t my favourite of all the ladies I very quickly got sucked in. Taushen and Brooke were, of course, the perfect match and as well as the romance we get a glimpse of all the other characters that you have fallen for in previous books.
If you haven’t read this series…why not? If you have, make sure you don’t make my mistake and put off reading this book.
