Review: An Officer and a Rebel by Cindi Madsen

I found this while looking for a short story that had the snowbound trope for the Yuletide Bingo readathon last month.  Bonus points because I’ve been wanting to try this author.

AN OFFICER AND A REBEL is a small town, holiday romance yes with the snowbound trope.  But what made me one-click this so fast is the fact that the heroine used to date the hero’s brother in high school.  Kelsey is the former town rebel and she’s just coming into town to spend the holiday with her mom when she gets in an accident and is snowbound for a while with her ex’s brother.  Nate is now a straight laced cop and he finally gets a chance to act on the attraction he always felt.

A dash of forbidden romance and oozing with chemistry, this story was a charmer.  Perfect for a cold winter night to read cuddled up with a hot cup of tea.  It’s a great taste of Cindi Madsen’s writing and I’ll definitely be reading more of her books.
