ย A charming, sweet and powerful story of finally giving in and falling in love. ~ Under the Covers Book Blog
English professor Nathan Quells is always a crowd pleaser. He loves taking care of others. Heโs good at it. Everyone seems to love him, even the most unsuspecting characters. Andreo Fiore is caught in the mob and when Nate finds himself taking care of his nephew, Michael, Dreo slowly falls in love with Nate over the course of the four years that they have known each other.
In ACROBAT, the story was inspired by a painting Mary Calmes saw (which is now the cover). She wanted to know what the story was behind the two men in a tangle together. In the end, the story became ACROBAT, a charming, sweet and powerful story of finally giving in and falling in love.
Dreoโs feelings for Nate have been stewing for years so I can understand when people say that his feelings came on too fast. Itโs because readers donโt get that sense of longing from him. Part of it is because we only get Nateโs POV and also, itโs because Dreo isnโt a man who willingly shares his feelings with many people. Nate is one of the trusted few.
Another great thing about this book is Calmesโs dialogue. I was smiling from ear to ear at some of the jokes she cracks. I love Nateโs ex wife and her husband. Nateโs TA is also a great character. I just find all her characters to be so endearing. You canโt help but fall in love with everyone!
One great tidbit for readers is that Nateโs ex, Duncan Stiel is from the A Matter of Time series. Duncan gets his own book in PARTING SHOT, Maryโs latest release. Reading the books so close to one another really made me appreciate the connections between books. I just adore it when authors do that for their fans.

Thanks love!
This was my first Mary Calmes book and I adored it. I didn’t catch the Duncan reference until I read this a second time after the Matter of Time series of course.
