~ Under the Covers
J.T. Geissinger has become an auto-read for me, so I was surprised when I missed the release of this book. Of course, when I saw it, I excitedly jumped right in without reading the blurb. While I trust and usually expect certain things from Geissinger’s books, I did not expect the twisted turn of events in this book. I suppose I was comfortably enjoying the sexy romance, humor, and mystery of Mr. Blackwood. And then, bam!!! Something happened and it just stopped me in my blissfully happy tracks. I had to reread a few times and I was left scratching my head confused and trying to accept what just happened.
I’m not going to deny that I didn’t enjoy the direction Geissinger took the story. I feel that I got sucker-punched by the major twist of the story, but I also cannot deny that I was immersed in the story from the beginning until the end. There was something about the connection between Olivia and James that I could not stop reading about. I knew their plan for a temporary relationship was going to be a bust and I was sure it would have been a lasting one. They made me laugh and the mystery between them was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading about them. Yes, I do wish the outcome was a little different but enjoyed this book just the same.
Readers’ opinion will be divided on this book. You will either love it or hate it. As for me, I will tell you that I loved it and rating it four stars out of five. If you decide to give this book a chance, a little tip…don’t let your guard down.

I generally avoid books that are either love/hate so thank you for the heads-up.
I ugly cried so hard during the twist part of the book and felt very betrayed by the author 🙁 Had a severe book hangover and had to resort to a bunch of funny and paranormal re-reads after failing to get into other new books. It is not a romance at all.
Yeah. I was a bit disappointed with that twist. but I can’t take it away that I was glued to the book til the end. I wish I had a heads up on it.
Loved this one as well
Thanks for the review, adding to my wishlist. I’ve enjoyed other books by this author.
