ARC Review: More Than a Feeling by Sara Richardson

MORE THAN A FEELING is book three in the Heart of the Rockies series by Sara Richardson but it’s the first book of this author that I’ve tried. I’m a sucker for these kind of small-town stories and I found myself enjoying this one a lot. Richardson is able to capture the sweet and sexy all into one perfect package and it’s safe to say that I will be trying more from this author.

The heroine of this story Ruby James is an interesting character. She has been using Walker Mountain Ranch as her safe haven. But her presence has triggered something in sexy cop Sawyer Hawkins because she’s been act quite flighty around him. After scaring her once, it seemed that the event had actually triggered something in Ruby and now she is terrified of him. But naturally, Sawyer wants to know what’s wrong and pushes her.

I’ve read a lot of Contemporary Romances but none that are quite as unique as this. I liked Ruby’s character a lot, but I also think that what made her so special and unique is also her greatest flaw. The secrets of her past continue to haunt her and because she is so closed off when around Sawyer, it does hinder the romance a little bit in the beginning. You have to be patient with her but I do think it’s worth it in the end. Expect this book to be a slow burn rather than a raging fire. Nevertheless, I still found it enjoyable and will definitely be looking forward to reading more from Sara Richardson.
