“MOONLIGHTER is such an adorable read with just a touch of danger.”
~ Under the Covers
Sarina Bowen has done it again. One of her sexy hockey heroes from the Brooklyn Bruisers gives us a glimpse outside of the hockey rink. In this spin off series, which can be read completely as a standalone, Eric is the successful hockey player but his father and brother run a billion dollar security company. It’s such a big deal that he doesn’t even know what The Company is called. He’s been happy not being involved until his brother ropes him into playing bodyguard to an old childhood friend who needs protection from her ex.
Two things that stand out from this book, aside the sexy hero because that’s kind of always a given with Sarina’s heroes, is the fact that Alex is a successful business woman. She’s good friends with Nate and just as smart. I love that she’s trying to make her way in a male dominated business world and she’s smarter than most men in the room. I love a strong heroine and she was definitely that. And then there’s the fact that when this story starts out our heroine is pregnant with said ex’s baby. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book where the hero falls in love with a heroine while she’s pregnant with another man’s baby. But it totally worked for me! Seeing that added element to their connection was also really sweet.
Overall, MOONLIGHTER is such an adorable read with just a touch of danger. I think this series will feature plenty of smart and strong characters and I’m so ready for it. I need to know more about Eric’s brother stat!

I will be adding this to my tbr! Thanks. The hero and heroine fall in love in a similar situation in The Pregnancy Test by Erin McCarthy.
Oh yes, your description has me very interested to try this new spin off. Thanks, Francesca!
