I was in a bad mood and so I was looking for a book that would cheer me up and possibly make me laugh. I didn’t really have to look far to find a book that would do all this and more. Susan Elizabeth Phillips books are just so magical so there was really no one else I needed to turn to to get me out of this mood. All I had to do was just pick up another Chicago Stars book and boom, it’s happiness in a book!

Annabelle Granger is the proud owner of her grandmother’s matchmaking business. Now here’s the thing with Annabelle….She can be a little bit of a mess sometimes, but I don’t actually consider that a bad thing. I think it’s utterly adorable! But not everyone else thinks so and when Heath Champion is looking for a wife, he is pushed into using Annabelle’s matchmaking business even though he doesn’t think she’s capable of finding a hairbrush let alone a wife for him. But despite his initial reservation, he finds that having Annabelle around is beneficial to him.

Let me just say that having these two together in a room is a riot just waiting to happen. I laughed so much while reading this book. The antics and arguments that these two get into is just so funny and entertaining. I dare you not to fall in love with this book and these characters.

You have no idea how much I’m regretting not reading this series earlier. I’ve been really missing out on some amazing characters and good times, so if you’re like me and haven’t read the Chicago Stars yet, you definitely need to! I know I’ll be spending the rest of the summer devouring these books as I await the next one!
