“If you like books with a hysterical and yet adorable meet-cute, you’ll want to look no further.”
~ Under the Covers
Every time I pick up a book by this author duo I know I’m in for a lot of laughs. MAN CUFFED was no different. If you like books with a hysterical and yet adorable meet-cute, you’ll want to look no further. What’s not to love with the heroine confusing the hero with a male stripper instead of a real cop and encouraging him to do his job and start getting naked!
Mac and Meg were instantly likeable characters. She’s got a big personality and is an aspiring actress. He’s a little more reserved and likes rule and order. And then she comes crashing into his life, almost literally. These two are neighbors and feel it would be better off to stay friends. I really appreciated that they took that time to get to know each other without letting a physical aspect get in the way.
The chemistry was there. The humor was certainly there. I would say this is on par with the first book, MAN HANDS, as far as slightly over the top humor. But I, for one, really enjoyed it.
Overall, I couldn’t rate this higher because I was waiting for something more to happen. If you are in the market for a low-angst, super funny, romantic comedy this may just be for you.
