Some series begin to become unoriginal and repetitive ten books into the series. However, Jill Shalvis delivers yet another cleverly witty, sexy and sweet story for Becca and Sam in the tenth book of the Lucky Harbor series. It’s in His Kiss. Introduces three more heroes in Sam, Cole and Tanner, best friends and business partners, Shalvis has set up the next three books in the series and what a way to get readers excited again!

Sam Brody is the dangerous one of the bunch. With his sexy surfer looks and rockstar abilities in bed, Sam is no doubt one of Lucky Harbor’s favourite hotties. Newcomer Becca is feeling the financial pinch, yet she doesn’t allow her monetary problems to affect her mood. Her sassiness and persistence helps her land a job that puts her in close proximity with Sam. Though one hot night has both of them pining for more, neither can react on their desires now that they are working together.

Just a paragraph into this story and Jill has managed to make me smile. The way in which she writes her characters just makes them so endearing and relatable. I find that you genuinely care about Becca’s predicament as well as connect with her on a friend level. Added to that is Shalvis’ signature humor that makes her books a pleasure to read. So far I’ve fallen in love with so many of Shalvis’ heroes in the series, but Sam might actually become one of my favorites…that is until I read Cole and Tanner’s book because I suspect they will be amazing as well from what Shalvis has shared so far.

It’s in His Kiss reminded me of why I fell in love with the series in the first place. Witty humor, endearing characters and stellar writing all blend effortlessly in this not to be missed summer read!
