Hi Jodi and welcome to Under the Covers! Congratulations on the release of ONE NIGHT: PROMISED!!
Let’s start out by getting to know who you are a little bit more. Tell us something that your fans wouldn’t already know about you.
They know almost everything about me, and what they don’t know is for a reason 😉
What are your plans for Promised?
To consume my readers as much as I did with This Man.
What inspired you to write this story?
M. His character came to me so vividly. I had other stories floating around in my mind, but none of them screamed as loudly as One Night. I wanted to create another man for women to swoon over, but I wanted to make him totally different to Jesse.
How would you say this is different from your popular THIS MAN series?
It is very different, and I hope my readers to bear that in mind. M is not Jesse. One Night definitely isn’t This Man. It’s a little darker and it’s more thrilling in the sense of action and suspense. I would have been stupid to try and create another Jesse. He is The Lord and no one can replace him. M is very different, but I love him equally. I find him more mysterious, and as intense as Jesse, but in very different ways.
You have been to a few book signings this year and we got to see you at some. Can you tell us a bit about your travels? Any special stories from the recent Edinburgh signing?
Oh Lord, I really get about these days! My agent, lawyer and main publisher are all in New York, so I find myself there every few months. Edinburgh was immense! There are too many special memories to pick. Every signing I attend always leaves my mind blown. Readers stories, their gifts for me, and their enthusiasm, it’s always overwhelming.
What has been your most out-of-this-world experience “under the covers”? Perhaps a scene from your books? 😉
I think the rowing machine scene from Beneath This Man takes that crown! I’m not sharing any personal stories 😉
What’s the last thing you’ve done that you considered badass?
Published a book! I can’t possibly divulge my badass antics!
