You have a brand new series coming out called The Dark Elements! Could you please tell us what the series is about? 

The first book in the series, White Hot Kiss, is about a half demon, half gargoyle named Layla whose kiss kills anything with a soul.  She’s caught between a hot gargoyle, Zayne, and a sexy demon, Roth, and things definitely get interesting.

You feature gargoyles and demons in this series. We’ve seen demons before, but not very much gargoyles. What made you decide to pursue this unique and interesting creature? 

I actually haven’t seen many books about gargoyles, and I wanted to do something a little different.  I thought it would be fun to try to make gargoyles sexy and interesting!

All of your books feature sinfully sexy heroes! We want to know the trick to writing such delicious men! What is one characteristic that you think all Armentrout heroes have? Why is this important to you? 

I try to give my male characters personalities and characteristics that I find attractive.  I think that a lot of my guys tend to be snarky and sarcastic, so I must be attracted to that type of personality.

Tell us the last book you read. Would you recommend it? 

I’ve been so busy writing that I haven’t had time to do a lot of reading.  I love the Demon Trappers series by Jana Oliver and the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent.

The holidays are fast approaching! What is on your Christmas wish list? 

I would love to finish the book I’m working on right now so I can take a couple of days off to enjoy the holidays!
