The Last Good Knight Banner

~ TIFFANY REISZ~

Welcome back to UTC, Tiffany! Since you’re last visit here, you’ve tried your hand at writing a serial. How was writing The Last Good Knight serial different from writing novels for you?

Good to be back! Writing The Last Good Knight was a ton of fun. You know how I love my cliffhangers! When writing a serial you’re required to have cliffhanger endings at the end of each part to get the reader to come back for the next chapter. Writing a novella is very different from a novel simply because the plot is more focused on one event, one character, whereas a novel is much larger in scope. It was nice that I got to focus just on Nora and her life in this story. What does she do as a Dominatrix day-to-day? How does she live? What does she do in her downtime? It was great to spend time with the Dominatrix at play.

Every author has their own method of writing books. What do you use to keep track of events, characters and/or story lines? Do you use a spreadsheet, a notebook, etc?

You can’t see me but I’m tapping my forehead. I keep it all in my head. If I forget something, I go back and reread what I need to for a refresher. I keep lots of notes but nothing organized.

Lance is one of my favorite male submissives. Who are your favorite submissive characters in books and why?

I loved Rob in Cara McKenna’s Unbound. He was one of the most realistic male subs I’d ever read. She explored his fantasies and desires in wonderfully gritty detail. Loved it!

Gah! I absolutely loved Rob as well! McKenna made it so delightfully kinky. It turned out to be such a great read. Speaking of great reads, what book have you reread the most? Why do you think it resonates with you so much?

Recently I’ve been obsessed with The Vintner’s Luck by Elizabeth Knox. Glorious. Best book I’ve read in five years. Other favorite re-reads include The Winter Prince by Elizabeth Wein, The Keep by Jennifer Egan, and Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice.

Favorite book of all time is probably All the King’s Men by Robert Penn Warren (he’s a Kentucky writer, like me!)

And lastly, what can we expect next from you, Tiffany?

The Saint, book five in The Original Sinners series, comes out in June in the U.S. Once upon a time a sadistic Catholic priest fell in love with a troubled teenage girl. It was the best thing that ever happened to her.

Part II: Sore Spots

With a potential stalker on the loose, Kingsley hires Lance as Nora’s bodyguard, but stipulates no sex while he’s on duty. Frustrated by the ex-SEAL’s noble chivalry, Nora is driven to seek release with the one man she’s trying to forget….

Part III: The Games Destiny Plays

  1. Great interview! I always love hearing more about this series, it’s AMAZING. Thanks so much for the amazing giveaway!

  2. I’d love to meet any of the Original Sinners characters! I may be a little more curious about the Nora and Kingsley (I found the Switch phenomenon fascinating), and a little more intimidated by Søren 😉 Thanks Tiffany for this wonderful world you offer us, and thanks for the giveaway.
