Maidens, today we welcome back to UTC the always fun Sara Humphreys.  It’s almost the release day of UNDONE and we got to ask her a few questions.

Hi Sara, welcome back to Under the Covers! Congratulations on the release of UNDONE!

Can you tell us how did you get the idea for the Amoveo Legend, and how did the story actually evolve into the series it is today?

It didn’t come from any single idea but more from a series of questions that I asked myself. I basically thought about what kind of powers I’d want to have and when I put them together…we got the Amoveo.

Lets talk about UNDONE. What can readers expect from this latest installment in the series?

Action. Passion. Danger. All that good stuff…plus a few surprises. This is the crossover book to my upcoming Dead in the City series. In Undone we meet the vampires in NYC and a new layer of the world is introduced. Expect the unexpected.

Do you have a favorite scene in the book? Care to share with us?

I have a couple but I think the snowmobile scene is my favorite. Let’s just say, I haven’t looked at a snowmobile the same way again and from what the readers are saying, it’s their fave too.

If you could describe your series in a tweet, for new readers, what would you say?

Pete and Marianna explore an intensifying attraction until danger is at the door and there’s no escape. Shifter, human or vampire…oh my

So far you have 2 spin offs of the Amoveo Legend series in the works, will there be any more? Like a spin off of the Vampires or Demons?

Right now the two spin-off series in the works are Dead in the City and Princes of Hell. The first book in the DIC series is Tall, Dark, and Vampire which will be released in May—my publisher put a sneak peek in the back of Undone.

I’m self-pubbing the Princes of Hell series but it will be serialized and released in “episodes”. My goal is to have a new episode every month…we shall see. If Princes of Hell is well received, I have a spin YA series called Daughters of Heaven and Hell that will come next.

I’m excited about TALL, DARK AND VAMPIRE! Can you give us a little sneak peak?

I can’t tell you too much because I don’t want any spoilers but here’s the low-down: The series is about a coven of vampire chicks who live and work in NYC. Readers will meet the head of the coven, Olivia Hollingsworth, in Undone.

In your book “Untouched”, was the heroine based on yourself?

Funny you should ask…Kerry is probably the closest to my personality of all the heroines in the Amoveo series. Although Samantha has some aspects of my personality too. I didn’t intentionally make Kerry like me…that just kind of happened.

What are the 10 clans in the series and which breed is your favorite?

Aw man…that’s a tough question. I can’t pick just one. That’s why I ended up with ten different animal clans to begin with. LOL. There are too many cool creatures out there. However, if I had to choose favorites it would be the wolves or one of the cat clans.

You have a big family yourself, do you see them a bit as part of clans themselves?

They’re my crazy clan but none of them are in the books. Although, a little bit of my husband is in every hero that I write.

If we were unforgivably rude and looked in your purse right now, what are five things we would find?

Not rude at all. First of all, I’d have to dig through the mess to identify things because it’s always a hot mess in there. At any point in time you would find…wallet, car keys, cell phone, business cards and lip-gloss.

If you were to describe yourself as an ice cream flavor, what would it be and why?

Rocky Road. I’m sweet, full of surprises and a little nuts.

We will close with a warning…if you had to write a warning for yourself as a person or as a writer, what would it be?

Warning: If you behave badly around this individual, you may be vilified in fiction.
