Interview and Giveaway with Lisa Renee Jones

Hello Lisa, thank you for coming to UTC.  For the people who do not know you, tell us a little about yourself.

I am a former CEO of a multi-state staffing agency who left the corporate world behind to chase a dream and I’m so glad I did. I’m still a workaholic though and I now live in Colorado instead of Texas. My kids are grown but my fiancée and I have a cat we treat like a kid, she is my writing partner. I’ve even dedicated books to her. 🙂

What kind of research did you do for Inside Out trilogy? (Specifically storage auction, art and subclubs)

Long before the show Storage Wars, my fiancée and I were buying storage units at auction. I have done extensive research one the places mentioned in the series – the art galleries, the winery, clubs, they are all based on actual places. I also visited New York, San Francisco, and Paris. I like for readers to be able to see and “experience” the actual places as they read.

I know that there fans that have deep love for Chris Merit and/or Mark Compton.  Who do you think the fans love most and can you tell us what the draw is for each of them?

I think it may be a tie… There are many reasons to love each of them and they are both so different but also the same.  The male raw dominance in both of them is what is the biggest draw I think.

The mystery and suspense in this erotica series is phenomenal. Do you read a lot of mystery? What genre do you fancy most?

Thank you. I love to read but don’t get to do it as often as I would like. I listen to audio books while working out. I try to listen to what is “hot” right now.

Tell us about the novellas of this series and the serial Behind Closed Doors.

Rebecca’s journals add so much more to The Inside Out series. They give you an inside look into the relationships that Rebecca has with the Master and the other characters as well.

What can readers expect now with REVEALING US?

This is Chris’s story. His secrets are revealed and we find out if Sara can handle them. I think Revealing Us ends in a way that wraps Chris and Sara’s story but there are still unanswered questions that will be answered in books 4 & 5. I will officially announce those books soon.
