Hi Jaci!  Welcome back to Under the Covers and HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!!  In a few words, could you please describe Logan McCormack. How does he compare to the other heroes you’ve written?

I loved writing Logan. He was a brooding, serious type of guy, and they’re so fun to write. I often write a lot of fun loving, outgoing types of heroes, but Logan was a more difficult type of man. He was more introspective, yet oh so sexy, He takes his life and his love seriously and when he zeroes in on his heroine—watch out.

Desiree Jenkins is an actress. Were you inspired by any celebrities for this character?

There might be tiny bits and pieces of several actresses in Desiree, and a lot of her is completely made up, like all my heroines.

If you allowed a film crew into your life, what do you think viewers would be most surprised to find out about you?

Probably that I’m very boring, I watch a ridiculous amount of television, and I’m very fond of yoga pants.

For readers who haven’t had the opportunity to read the Hope series, would you please explain what the series is about?

The Hope series is a contemporary romance series based on a small town in Oklahoma and the people who inhabit it. It’s about many different characters, not all related to each other, but who wind in and around Hope, and who are connected to the town. I wanted to focus on Hope, and not on a particular family or group of characters. In this way, it’ll allow me to expand the series and give readers a chance to fall in love with the town and everyone in it.

You’ve written many books of many different heat levels. What’s your favorite way to spice up a love scene?

A love scene is the product of the characters who inhabit it. So in that way, every love scene in every book is different. The characters’ relationship and emotions and history bring flavor to the scene. The location does as well, so some scenes may occur in a bedroom, and I’ve written several outdoors or in other unique locales. But the spice in the scene always comes from the characters themselves, what’s happening to them at that particular time, and how they interact with each other. It comes from the way they look at each other, touch each other, relate to what’s happening at that moment. Fun stuff!

Apart from reading, what’s your favorite way to unwind?

My husband and I spend a lot of time at our local casino. Pushing the buttons on a slot machine is very mind numbing. 😉

If we raided your keeper shelf, what all time favorite titles would we find there?

Oh, my keeper shelf. I have my favorites there. You’d find a lot of Elizabeth Lowell, Johanna Lindsey and Nora Roberts, I have some old tattered copies of several Kathleen Woodiwiss novels, as well as all the books authors have signed for me over the years . Those are always keepers.

Thank you so much for sharing with us today and now it’s time for everyone to be introduced to your latest hottie LOGAN!

Logan McCormack likes his isolated life on the ranch, until a movie crew starts filming there. When actress Desiree Jenkins blows into his life, she wrecks it harder than the Oklahoma winds with her brutal honesty and soft touch. Des knows this is a temporary stay, but she loves the open freedom of the land, and for the first time in her life, Des feels like she might have found a place she can call home, with a man she might be falling in love with. But Logan’s heart is tougher than the soil beneath them—can she convince him that they belong together?
