ARC Review: Interborough by Santino Hassell

When I finished reading SUNSET PARK, even though there was a sense that Raymond and David were happy together it felt like things could easily come crumbling down.  They both have issues that we’re starting to skim on the surface.  So I was very happy to see they were getting another full length novel.  First of all, I love these two!  Their chemistry is adorable even when they are at odds with each other.  The push and pull between them in this book, caused by circumstances and how they react to them, only made me love them more.

I don’t want to refer to this as a conflict book, but a majority of this book is centered around all the conflicts between Raymond and David.  Both present valid points and I found myself siding with each one at different times.  But it took some maturity, confidence and just character growth to see them come out together in the end.  This was very much another very real story by Mr. Hassell and I always love that about his writing.  I can get lost in a story that has a day-to-day-life feel but instead of bugging me down with that reality, it lets me get lost in the story.  There’s an ease to this author’s storytelling that works for me!  In this case, there were so many things for these two to work through and this book gave us a real feel of how they handled, or didn’t at times, the pressure.  In the end, their love really shines through.

What more can I say?  INTERBOROUGH is just adorable and cements my love for this characters, the series and the author’s voice.  I can’t get enough, I’m a fan!
