“You can bet that I’ll be anxiously awaiting the next book in the series to get my next dose!”
~ Under the Covers

I’ll be honest with you…I’ve been looking forward to this release every since I read the last book in the series. Paige Tyler is somewhat of a new author for me. The first few books of hers that I’ve tried have blown me away and I was really hoping that this new installment would bring the same thrills and chills as the previous books have for me.

Though Tyler very much sticks to what she knows, what’s new and interesting about this book is the fact that she introduces another group of werewolves. So far in this series, we’ve only seen a small amount of the world and the werewolves. We only know that the SWAT team is comprised of all werewolves and no one else knows that but its members. However, when an attack occurs and SWAT soon realizes that there are other werewolves out there, things get much more interest for the group.

This is especially true for Eric Becker because at the scene of the crime, he helps one of the other member of the team hide, even going as far as storing her in a crate and dousing her with perfume to mask his scent. It’s crazy, even for a guy like him. However, Becker can’t seem to stop thinking about the criminal he meant.

Turns out, Jayna isn’t exactly a hardcore criminal but she does have a dark past. And as Becker discovers her involvement with her pack and a bunch of mobsters, Tyler explores more of her world. While I enjoyed learning more about the Alpha, Betas and Omegas, I will say that it seemed a little unbelievable that Becker can find out all of Jayna’s personal information from doing a little research but he doesn’t know what a Beta and Omega are. I guess the author plans of revealing things as they come up.

Despite that though, I still very much enjoyed this book. I find that I have come very attached to the members of the SWAT team very quickly. That’s impressive for only being book three in the series. I would have loved to seen more of the other members of the SWAT team. Apart from Cooper and Beck, there wasn’t much else. But you can bet that I’ll be anxiously awaiting the next book in the series to get my next dose!

  1. I’m loving these SWAT wolves, too. One of my tiny complaints about book one was lack of worldbuilding into the werewolf thing so I love that each new book reveals a little something more.

  2. oh I LOVED this book, so fun and great. Paige Tyler has been great with this series. I love how compelling these books are….I just want more whenever I finish. I am curious to see what she comes up with next….I hope its Cooper because he is just awesome.
