ARC Review: Hello Forever by Sarina Bowen

Sarina Bowen knows how to get to the core feeling of things.  HELLO FOREVER is another great story about two young men that have their own struggles, but that can be stronger at facing adversities if they are together.

I was expecting this book to be a continuation of Josh and Caleb’s story.  Surprisingly, and in a good way, this is a different couple.  Axel and Caxton met while they were young and saw each other at church camp and the occasional church visit.   They quickly bonded during that time, making their friendship one of the best things about those years.  Until one day they decided to confront the feelings that had been developing between them and got caught by a priest.  Cax was never seen again afterwards until life reunites them years later.

There was something vulnerable and open about this story.  Cax with his issues and Axel being the one completely open and going for it.  Cax still has a lot to deal with in his own life.  His father is a terrible man, and Cax is the only one there to protect his siblings from him.  He’s taken on a lot of responsibility on his shoulders and put his own desires on the back burner.  The fact that he can have a second chance with the only man he ever loved is both everything he ever wanted, and torture at the same time.  Just a little too early for his plans.

This was sweet and sad, sexy and tender, all at the same time.  I couldn’t help but fall in love with these characters because they worm their way into your heart so easily.  Definitely a feel good story and I can’t wait to get more.
