I have to thank Suzanne for picking this book for me during the Pick It For Me Challenge.  I’ve always seen her read and recommend this author and have been curious to try her but one thing or another always pushed the choice down.  This forced me to pick it up and boy was I happy with this!

This is not really a conventional romance, although there is a romance element.  It’s more about the story, the town, the family, the sisters, the house, the magic.  Yes, there’s a magical element to the theme of this book that combined with the way the author narrates this story reminded me of Lisa Kleypas’ Friday Harbor series.

The characters wove themselves into my heart from the start.  The story was enrapturing to the point that it was a book I didn’t want to put down at all and I devoured it in record time while being busy working.  It’s been one of the few reads in a while for me to have that effect and I certainly can’t wait to read more from this author.

I absolutely loved the way Ms. Allen tells her story and I will be exploring more of her books for sure!  A keeper on my shelf!
