ARC Review: Egomaniac by Vi Keeland

It’s official!  Meet my first 2017 book boyfriend.  I cannot tell you how much I’m in love with Drew Jagger.  You just have to meet him yourself so he can sweep you off your feet as well.  See, everything about him is so perfect in the most not-perfectly put together way.  He’s a successful lawyer and dresses all fancy and professional, but he is most at home when he can let loose a bit and be casual.  He has the means to be a big playboy, but he’s actually a nice decent guy.  And he’s so much fun to be around!  I loved his attitude, his humor, his good heart and lets not leave out his dirty talk.

Everything about this book is perfect.  The pacing, the chemistry, the banter.  As much as I fell head over heels for Drew, I also loved Emerie.  She’s a down to earth, strong and independent woman.  She also has an easy way about her and great sense of humor and you can’t help but love her and root for her.  These two were so much fun I would honestly love to see this on the big screen!

One thing I always know to expect from Vi Keeland is a unique plot that hasn’t been done before, and she’s delivered on that again.  This is a very different take on an “office romance” because while the hero and heroine work in the same space, they aren’t working together.  You’ll see what I mean when you read it.  But kudos for delivering a fun twist on an overdone plot.  Her books are always fresh and that’s one of the things that keeps me coming back for more over the years.

And as much as this is fun and sexy, it also melted my heart with sweetness and emotion.  There is a deeper plot that it’s unveiled as the story chugs along.  Honestly it only made things sweeter for me.  It’s one of my weaknesses, but I won’t spoil the story and mention it here.

If you want to read something that’s both adorably cute and effortlessly sexy, then read EGOMANIAC.  Every word packed in this story is highly addictive, once you get started you won’t want to put it down.  I am anxiously awaiting her next book (which I hope features Drew’s best friend, Roman *hint, hint*)
