“As always, the writing is always smooth and free-flowing.”
~ Under the Covers
In the third book of The Whiskeys series, Melissa Fosters delivers yet another hot read. The twist in this book is that we have an interesting pairing with Bullet and Finlay. Bullet is a MC member and is as badass as it gets and Finlay is much more of a sweetheart than anything else. It was interesting to see how they got along, but I will say that there is a rough start in the beginning as they try to work out each other’s differences.
Even if you haven’t read the other books in the series, I think you can read this book without any problem. However, I always suggest reading in order because you’ll understand the details and cameos of characters and how this book intersects with some of Foster’s other books in the series.
As always, the writing is always smooth and free-flowing. However, like I mentioned, there is a stall in the beginning because of how different these two characters are. I found Bullet to be a little on the mean side, so he’s actually not my favorite hero from this series but I did enjoy Finlay’s character. That being said, I think if you’re a fan of the more moody/brooding heroes, you may find Bullet more attractive than I did.
