“It’s fun and sexy…And when I say sexy, I mean this book turns up the heat!” ~ Under the Covers

Let me start off by saying Colton made this book for me!  I really wished this book had the alternating POVs because sadly, I wasn’t too into the heroine and I was stuck in her head.  However, that didn’t take too much away from my enjoyment of this story.

This is not so much a sports romance, I would almost say it’s a mix of that and a billionaire story.  Colton Donavan, for as down to earth as he is, is a mega celebrity, with lots of money.  He’s used to things going his way.  And now he what he wants is Kylee.  And he will do anything to get her.

I loved their first meeting and their developing relationship.  It’s fun and sexy, leaving aside who he is and her past.  And when I say sexy, I mean this book turns up the heat!  Again, I give this one to Colton!  He’s one sexy beast.

There’s enough angst in this story that kept me interested, even though it’s not completely original or unexpected.  I think Kylee’s reasoning for not wanting to be in love shouldn’t have been as big of an issue as she made it out to be.  Life goes on!

I do think that this story could’ve been compressed into less than a trilogy.  This was a pretty long book in consideration to the amount of things that actually took place.  Some I think we could’ve done without.

I am curious to see where the next one goes and finishing the story of these two.  If nothing else, because I want more of Colton.

  1. Thanks for the review francesca. I just got done reading one ook that was about 200 pages longer than it needed to be and another with a heroine who annoyed me so I may wait on this.
