“Their romance was quite adorable and it definitely made for a fun, entertaining read.”

I’ve been excited about the release of this book for a while. It’s a spin off of the Royally series, which I really enjoyed, and focusing on bodyguard. Hello sexy! Tommy is a character you’ll remember from that series and he’s getting his HEA to kick off this new series.
This is an opposites attract romance. The hero owns a bodyguard company, who doesn’t come from money and he’s the definition of a playboy. The heroine on the other hand is very strict, uptight even, and doesn’t really know how to let go and have fun. She’s from an aristocratic family and a surgeon-in-training. She treats him when he’s injured and then later on her family hires him as her bodyguard.
I have to admit, I definitely liked the hero more than the heroine. Tommy is just sweet and as the title suggest charming. Their romance was quite adorable and it definitely made for a fun, entertaining read. But honestly, not quite memorable enough to stand out among the rest of the books in this “world”. Maybe my least favorite. That’s not to say it wasn’t good. Emma Chase has a real talent for writing stories that just flow in a really addictive way, you don’t want to put them down and they read super fast.
Ultimately, I think if you’ve been a fan of the Royally series you can’t miss out on what I’m calling a new installment, even though there’s no royalty. And if you’re new, you can certainly start here as this stands alone really well.
