ARC Review: Death, Taxes, and a Shotgun Wedding by Diane Kelly

“When it comes to kicking ass, no one does it better than Tara Holloway.”
~ Under the Covers

With the twelfth book in the Tara Holloway series, Diane Kelly is looking to close out the series with a wedding between Nick and Tara. But before that can happen, they need to figure out who is trying to get Tara killed. After nearly being run over by a pickup truck, Tara is doing everything she can to stay alive. With such a long list of enemies, they have a lot of work to do. It’s a good thing she has a hottie in the form of her soon-to-be husband to protect her.

I was really happy with out this book turned out. There’s lots of fun to be had if you pick up this book. It’s funny yet action-packed. The narration doesn’t ever get boring and if you’re a Romance fan like me, you can appreciate the happily ever after that happens in this book. So really, I have no complaints other than the fact that I’ll be sad that this is the end. I don’t know if there will be future stories for Tara, but this book definitely feels like the close of at least one storyline.

That being said, I think it’s a good idea to read this series from the beginning. At least that way you’ll come to appreciate the romance that finally happens in this book. And if you haven’t read the Tara Holloway series yet, you definitely need to. When it comes to kicking ass, no one does it better than Tara Holloway.
