Bubbles & Books Subscription Box Review

The service

Two of my absolute favorite things combined…heaven!  Books and bath time is a perfect combination in my mind so I was extremely excited when I found out about this box.  I think it’s certainly one I wouldn’t mind getting on a regular basis.  Like a “me time” date in a box.  Read a curated book and spend some relaxing time of self care.

Book

The book included in my box was LOVING CARA by Kristen Proby.  This sounds like a cute contemporary romance perfect for the summer.  I think one of the especially nice features of this box is that you can select the romance genre you prefer.  They have 3 different choices of book boxes you can choose from.  A paranormal romance, historical romance or bad boy romance box.  I think that can help narrow down your preference and ensure that you receive a book that you’ll enjoy.  I probably would’ve liked to see a more recent release, but that’s my only comment on this.

Personal Care

One of my favorite things about subscription boxes is a theme and I think this one nailed it perfectly.  The theme of the box I received was rain and the attention to detail to keep with the theme was excellent.  From the scents of the candles, soap and bath bomb to the decorative umbrellas and the coffee, because what’s better than sipping some coffee while reading inside while it’s raining out.

Let me just say everything smells delicious!  It looks like the products were made for or by Bubbles and Books themselves because they are all branded as such instead of being from individual shops.  Great quality so I was very happy with both variety and quality of these.

Value

This is where it gets a little tricky for me.  While I loved all the products I received in the box, I think the price point is a bit high.  It doesn’t come across to me as if I’m getting much of a discount for these items by getting them together in the box and more like I’m just paying full price for each individual thing.

Final Thoughts

PROs – I loved the ease of getting something that can easily give me a ready made excuse for some me time.  The quality of the items is excellent.  The variety is perfect and I also think they work really well together and complement each other for a full experience.

CONs – Price/Value.  Not-so-new release.
