“BLIND TIGER gives us a great taste of what’s to come and it will leave you hooked.”
~ Under the Covers
I didn’t even know this book was coming out! I love getting surprises. I’ve been a fan of this world for a while and I was so happy when Ms. Vincent decided to venture into a paranormal romance type setting with a spin off of her Shifters series. The series kicked off with LION’S SHARE and one I was highly anticipating, being that it was Jace’s book. After that, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the series. BLIND TIGER gives us a great taste of what’s to come and it will leave you hooked.
Titus Alexander is the acting Alpha of the strays in the free zone. More specifically in Mississippi. He’s given safe haven to Jace and Abby and is trying to get the Council to recognize him as the first Alpha stray and get a seat on the Council himself. I feel a lot of world politics will be shaken up by this series and I can’t wait to see it happen! The possibilities really get me excited about what’s to come.
But more than that, I think one thing Rachel Vincent does really well with this series, as well as the original, is to give you such great character depth that you can’t help but be involved with ALL the players involved in the story. It’s not just a connection with the main characters. I love that about this series because I can really get invested into future books. Wanting to know what’s going to happen to everyone and the overall world arc as well. And that’s another thing that I enjoyed a lot in this story. There is an overall arc that I can see developing in the deeper shifter politic machinations, there’s the romance of course, plus there’s something the heroine is dealing with personally as well as the hero. BLIND TIGER really gave me a lot to bite into! It’s a meaty read full of substance, twists and turns. The romance is interwoven with it perfectly and I couldn’t have been happier with it!
Now for the main characters. I loved Titus. Really. He’s a great Alpha, who just happened to be a billionaire before he was attacked and turned into a shifter. So this is a very well setup pack. But he’s still quite down to earth and a great, genuine leader. I think my only question about the whole thing was to wonder how he manages to be away from his business so much to run with all the pack situations.
The heroine, I struggled with a bit more. See, we met Robyn in the previous book. She’s young and recently turned. She’s also in a bit of trouble with the Council. There was more than one occasion while I was reading this book that I would compare Robyn to the younger Faythe from the Shifters series. And that’s not necessarily a good thing. The traits that stood out for me were her immature and sometimes irrational, brattish, selfish behavior. The saving grace? This wasn’t all the time. And there were a lot of endearing and strong things about her mixed in. So while Robyn isn’t my favorite character, she’s also not going to be relegated to the annoying and TSTL list.
The “twist” in the end was a bit predictable, since I had seen that coming from a mile away. Almost from the start of that whole situation. But overall, BLIND TIGER was really fun to read and it’s introduced us to even more characters that I would love to read more about in this series.

Rachel Vincent really does create memorable characters. However, with the shifters series I didn’t like how certain characters developed, and was actually glad when the series ended. So, while I loved Jace, I was ready for the series to be over and haven’t had a desire to read these. Thank you for the review.
I can see where that could happen.
OOoh nice! I cannot wait to read this one! I’m waiting for the paperback version to be out though since this is a series I need to continue in that format! LOL! Glad to hear it was yet another awesome tale! The Shifters series was one of my favorites so I’m glad Rachel is still continuing this world! Great review!
YAY LOL I hate when different formats take a while to catch up. I think she’s taking the series slowly in a bit of a different route than the original, but I love the political intricacies of this world and now things should be shaken up a bit by the strays so I can’t wait to see what she does after. Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks for the review Francesca
