Author Override is the place where authors take the reins and take you on a journey into their world. Some may allow you into their private writing dens. Others may take you along with them on research trips or interviews. Whatever the case may be, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride because here you’ll get an in-depth look into an author’s musings.

Which infamous villain do you have a crush on?

ALYSSA: My first villain crush would have to be David from The Lost Boys. I was young and impressionable when we first met and he was all the bad boy I could want, filling up the screen with lots of swagger and confidence. This was back when vampires were the bad guys and you weren’t supposed to want to be into one of them. David had me at hello.

JENNIFER: OOOHH! Nice one Alyssa!

I have to say that my movie villain crush has to be Gary Oldman as Dracula in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Boy could rock a crushed velvet suit and top hat, mmmkay? And because I can’t pick just one, I have to go with Gerard Butler. As Dracula. In Dracula 2000.

I like and own both movies, and although critics didn’t love them, I think they’re great stuff. 🙂

VRISTEN: Sorry – I’m the boring one. I don’t have any villain crushes I can think of. I do tend to like the mobster/assassin/just plain criminal types of character, though…a bit like Benicio del Toro’s characters in The Hunted or The Way of the Gun.

EDEN: Okay, right off the top of my head I would have to say Mark Wahlburg in Fear. He was ninety percent sexy, dominant, obsessive male and 100% bat shit crazy, I’m gunna stab you with a blunt knife during sex and caress you with affection as you bleed to death.

And the rollercoaster scene?!? Well to be honest that’s the only part of the movie I remember…oh and the dog getting its head chopped off…umm…yeah…okay, so maybe not a good choice after all. Is it too late to change my answer?

  1. I’m really looking forward to reading this anthology – as far as favorite villains …tough, touch choice but I’d have to go with Gerard Butler in Dracula 2000 too…uber sexy dracula!

  2. Thank you all for your comments. I don’t usually go for the villains either 🙂

I think I need to watch the Dracula movie with Gerard Butler. I’ve never seen it.

    Thanks again. Mwah

  3. Jyl22065—SPIKE alwways counts! Yumyumyum! I love Spike. 🙂 Did you see James Marsters on Torchwood? Go and Google that. (You’re welcome.)

Maria D. and Eden, I loved Gerard in that movie. He smolders, struts, and completely steals the screen every time he’s in a shot. ZOMG, the ceiling scene…..

  4. I just saw this movie the other night, first time in a while. It totally creeps me out. Michael Keaton in Pacific Heights. Creepy villain…..Eeeekkk…

  5. This anthology sounds great and I cannot wait to read more about the villains- over the times I read in books- some of the villains were sexy and I wanted them not to end, but other times, they were just individuals that had to go. sdylion(at)gmail(dot)com
