Author Override is the place where authors take the reins and take you on a journey into their world. Some may allow you into their private writing dens. Others may take you along with them on research trips or interviews. Whatever the case may be, sit back, relax and enjoy the ride because here you’ll get an in-depth look into an author’s musings.

Hi all! I just wanted to thank you for letting me come here today. I’m here with my character, Bay, from Enforcer’s Redemption, where we get to have a sit down interview. Yay!

Carrie Ann: Hi Bay! Thanks so much for sitting with me.

Bay: *kisses Carrie Ann’s cheek* Thanks for having me.

Carrie Ann: Okay, let’s get started. How does it feel to be one of the newest members of the Redwood Pack?

Bay: *tilts head in thought* Good. Peaceful. *gives a soft laugh* Yeah, I know, we’re at war, I shouldn’t feel that. And I don’t always, but I’m at…home now. I was a lone wolf so long, that it’s nice to be able to know I’ll always have my Pack with me. Even if it didn’t start out the way I would have wanted.

Carrie Ann: Tell me more about that.

Bay: *sighs* I didn’t come into the Pack like the others. I mean, I was mated in and it was…let’s just say difficult. I really can’t fault the way others treated me because they didn’t know me and I come from a background that’s shady. I mean, these wolves need to think of their families, and for all purposes, I was the enemy. But we’ve proven to ourselves that we’re family now. It wasn’t all rainbows and unicorns, but really, we’re wolves, it should be.

Carrie Ann: I’m glad to hear that you’re doing better. Tell me about Adam, how’s he doing?

Bay: He’s doing better. I mean…what happened? It can’t be undone, but he’s getting through it. We both are.

Carrie Ann: You’re lucky to have each other. Now, I can’t ask the questions on the tip of my tongue because it will spoil it for everyone, but is the thing that happened settled between the two of you?

Bay: *throws her head back and laughs* That’s not confusing at all! Yes, the thing that happened is thriving and Adam and I are over the moon. Subtle?

Carrie Ann: I swear it’s so hard to ask you and Adam questions without revealing the whole book! Okay, now to the fun things. Favorite color?

Bay: Green

Carrie Ann: *rolls eyes* I swear all you Jamenson women always say that because of your mates eyes.

Bay: What can I say? They’re dreamy!

Carrie Ann: True. Okay, boxers or briefs?

Bay: Whatever Adam has on, but normally it’s nothing. *blushes*

Carrie Ann: *coughs* Okay then…uh…where was I? Oh, what’s your plan in the future?

Bay: Well, Adam and I are on a mission of sorts right now with something that is older than us. I’m glad we get time to ourselves, you know?

Carrie Ann: Ah, yes, I know that mission. I’m going tell it in your novella, Forgiveness. Because believe me, that Adam of yours, needs to get on his knees.

Bay: *laughs* He’s a butt sometimes, but he’s mine.

Carrie Ann: Okay, hon. Thanks so much for coming Bay, and thank you readers for being here!

Bay: Yes! Thank you, and Carrie Ann and I will be here to answer any of your questions!

Excerpt:

A crash from the living room brought Bay out of a fitful sleep. She pulled herself to a sitting position, her belly getting in the way. Someone mumbled a curse, and she inhaled their scent.

Adam and Maddox.

A very drunk Adam and a slightly inebriated Maddox.

Oh, goody, just what she needed; a drunken wolf who probably didn’t know she was in his bed and wanted her nowhere near him. Oh, what fun.

She pulled down the extra-large shirt she wore so it hit her mid-thigh even over her belly and waddled out to the living room, her ankles aching with each step. When she got out to the living room, she shook her head. Maddox had Adam draped over his shoulders and a sheepish expression on his face.

“Sorry, Bay. Didn’t mean to wake you,” Maddox said as he carried a very drunk Enforcer past her and into the bedroom.

“What happened?” It was like déjà vu. The first time she’d seen Adam he’d been drunk, and here he was again. Was this something he did often?

Maddox dropped Adam on the bed and shook his head. “Drank too much.”

“I guessed that, but why?”

Maddox turned to her with so much emotion in his eyes that she almost staggered from the weight of it. All of that couldn’t be just him. How on earth did he live like that as the Omega?

“He’s had a long day,” he said simply, and Bay under her breath.
