ARC Review: Wild Wolf by Jennifer Ashley

First let me start off by saying I don’t normally make it a habit to read a series out of order but in this case I made an exception, and boy am I happy I did!

In this installment of Shifters Unbound, we meet Graham McNeil Alpha and pack leader.  Graham has always been considered to be too aggressive and definitely not the most liked amongst Shifters.  But ever since he and his pack were forced from their Shiftertown to one in Vegas, his pack has become uneasy and worried about when he will take a mate and have an heir.  But Graham and all his wild, untamed roughness can be hard to understand.  That is until he met Misty.  Now after dating for a few months Graham realizes he would do anything to keep Misty safe, even if that means putting himself in danger.

Melissa Granger, also known as Misty, has been dating Graham for a few months.  And although she isn’t from the Shifter world, she doesn’t seem to be intimidated by it.  Neither does she seem to be intimidated by Graham and his attitude.  With all his rough edges and rude behavior Misty always seems to find the decent man he truly is.  But can Misty deal with the danger that dating an Alpha Shifter comes with?

While it took me a few chapters to warm up to Graham, I still found myself enjoying the book.  Getting to know his past definitely helped in understanding his demeanor.  It was also very refreshing to find a human woman in a “paranormal” world that has common sense and isn’t some naïve, weak thing.  Misty kicked ass.  She wasn’t a fighter per say but she didn’t take any sh*t nor did she let an Alpha male get in her head and take over her life because of his hot body and skillful moves in bed!

Wild Wolf is the 6^th installment in the Shifters Unbound series and it was so well written I dove right into the world without a problem.  In fact I found myself wanting to get to know all the other characters and their stories, so guess whose starting book one soon?  *point to self*
