ARC Review + Tour: Shame on You by Tara Sivec

 

There are a few things I can always rely on with a Tara Sivec book, lots of laughter, lots of sarcasm and a book that keeps me turning the pages ~ Under the Covers

Kennedy O’Brien started Fool Me Once Investigations after coming home from Afghanistan to find her husband balls deep in another woman. Now Kennedy along with her two best friends take down any man thrown their way. Only Kennedy seems to be having trouble with her current dog napping bail jumper, who keeps slipping from her grasp. However, the last thing she needs is Griffin Crawford”s help, but her former deliciously sexy best friend, fellow war veteran and lying rat bastard seems to determined to stay on her tail and earn her trust back.

There are a few things I can always rely on with a Tara Sivec book, lots of laughter, lots of sarcasm and a book that keeps me turning the pages, Shame on You was no different and I powered through this fairly short book in no time.

I really liked Kennedy and enjoyed reading this book from her point of view, her thoughts were hilarious, and the banter between her and her best friends and her family were fantastic, keeping a massive grin on my face throughout the book. Tara Sivec excels at writing funny and snarky female leads, so although she may have seemed really similar to other characters I have read by her that didn’t stop me from enjoying this book.

The romance itself was kind of sweet, kind of sexy with a friends to lovers vibe going on. Griffin was nice and had some mad bedroom skills, but he didn’t stand out for me as much in this book as Kennedy did, so if you are looking for a book with a swoonworthy and unforgettable hero this probably isn’t for you.

A really enjoyable and quick read guaranteed to put a smile on your face, I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
