ARC Review + Tour: Rusty Nailed by Alice Clayton

Wallbanger and Pink Nightie Girl other wise know as Caroline and Simon are back and officially a proper grown up couple following the events of the first book in this series, Wallbanger. But that isn’t the end of the story, with crazy friends, a disappearing boss and a Wallbanger intent on nesting Caroline has plenty to keep her on her toes.

Picture this, relaxing in garden, sun shining down on me with an ice cold strawberry daiquiri in one hand, Sir Percy the Paperwhite in the other, perfect. Of course you need to ignore the weird snorty laughy noise that keep emerging, but I can’t help it, the book I am reading is Rusty Nailed and as well as being little romantic and a little sexy, it is also pretty darn hilarious.

Rusty Nailed is the second book in the Cocktail series by Alice Clayton and follows the same couple, Simon and Caroline, in Wallbanger, the first in the series we saw them get together and now in Rusty Nailed we see them testing their togetherness and merging their lives together. With funny, sexy and sweet results.

I can guarantee if you liked the first book you will like this one, they have the same kind of odd ball humour, which I enjoyed immensely and as it is a book about the same couple it was all very familiar. I think if I had just finished Wallbanger maybe I would have found this a little too familiar, but I hadn’t so it was comforting to slip back in with a couple I already know and love.

This was a great summer read, fantastic for lazing about and having fun with and I can’t wait to check out whatever Alice Clayton has to show us next.
