It’s the way [Andre] makes family important in every one of her books. You don’t just feel the romantic love, but also the loyalty and undying love the characters have for their siblings as well. ~ Under the Covers
In book nine of the Sullivans series, Bella Andre introduces the first of the Seattle Sullivans family with Rafe. Rafe is a PI investigator and has seen the worse of marriages crumble before his eyes. Needing a vacation from all this constant heartbreak, his sister Mia tells him to visit their childhood lake house for some much needed R&R. Rafe has finally reached the end of his leash and takes up on the offer, but when he gets there, the house is a complete mess and he discovers that temptation lies just next door.
Brooke Jansen has always been the good girl and is as sweet as the chocolates that she makes. However, she has always longed to be a little bad and a little wild. When the roaring of a motorcycle outside catches her attention, Brooke looks out to find her long time childhood friend, Rafe pulling up into the driveway. Except he’s bigger. Badder. And more dangerous.
Brooke and Rafe are in that middle ground – wanting to be together, but not wanting to ruin their friendship over a hot summer fling. They fight it as best they can, but the sparks are like the Fourth of July; they are too big to ignore.
Their fling starts out scorching and doesn’t let up at all. I thought Andre always wrote pretty hot sex scenes, but the ones in this book have become particular favorites of mine. She always has a knack of creating heroes that are undeniable sexy and sweet at the same time.
I really loved Brooke’s character. Though sweet and innocent, there is more to her than that. She is intelligent. Her business side shows that and she is also quite stubborn when she wants something. She isn’t your typical sweet heroine who wants to be bad. She knows what she wants and goes for it. I really liked that about her.
The rest of the Sullivan family is introduced and this is when I start to get a little fangirly. There are four more new Sullivans (after this book). In order of birth, there is Ian, the oldest who is in London (I AM SO EXCITED FOR HIS STORY ALREADY!). Adam is the second oldest. We get to meet him in this book and I already like where Andre is going with his character. I can’t wait to see what she has planned for him! Rafe is the second youngest male and then after that it is Dylan! Mia Sullivan is the baby of the family and the only girl. Her story is going to fabulous, I think. Andre gives some clues on what’s to come and I think a rock star hero is seriously going to make the panties drop!
Bella Andre is one of my top autobuy authors. She never fails to bring heat and heart in her stories. They are always such a great escape, making you fall in love many times over again. However, there is one thing I love best about her stories. It’s the way she makes family important in every one of her books. You don’t just feel the romantic love, but also the loyalty and undying love the characters have for their siblings as well.
If you have a soft spot for big families, then the Sullivans must be a series you check out. Just be prepared to want to marry into the family, because their love feels majestic and untouchable.

Thanks Ann!
I’ve liked all of the books I’ve read by Bella, especially the Sullivan series. I haven’t read this newest one, but from the review above it looks to be just as great as the others in the series. Continued success to you, Bella! Keep writing and I’ll keep reading! 🙂 [email protected]
Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this website.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard
to get that “perfect balance” between usability and visual
appeal. I must say you have done a amazing job with this.
In addition, the blog loads super fast for me on Internet
explorer. Excellent Blog!
