“If you love multi-generational stories, you won’t want to miss this one.”
~ Under the Covers
I’m always a sucker for Sarah Morgan’s Summer and Christmas women’s fiction novels. There’s just something about the human connection in her books that I absolutely adore.
THE SUMMER SEEKERS is a fun story about 80 year old Kathleen who decides to go on an adventure and road trip across the United States. Her daughter Lily always felt like she couldn’t connect with her mother because they are so different and what she would prefer is to put her in an old age home. But she allows the trip after Kathleen hires Martha to be her driver.
Lily is struggling with her life as a wife and mother and feeling like both her husband and kids take her for granted. Martha is young and at a crossroads, not knowing what to do with her life.
I cared for all three women and their stories. I connected more with Lily and loved seeing her learn to put herself first at times. Her character had the most growth and the most healing to do. Her relationship with her mother, with her husband, daughter, and most importantly with herself.
This was such a unique story. I loved seeing all three women’s perspectives on life. They are at different points and with different issues. But their stories blended so well to make this such a full book. If you love multi-generational stories, you won’t want to miss this one. Once I started, I read it in one sitting.

Love road trip stories and especially with the three generations. I thought this was pretty good, too.
