ARC Review: The Making of Michael Bishop by Kathleen Collins
“Ms. Collins has become one of my favorite authors and I highly recommend her work.” ~ Under the Covers
I wasn’t disappointed with this very short story except it was too damn short. This story is about Michael Bishop and how he came to be. I know…just as the title says. Collins take on a world of vampires and this book explains a little about how they are created. Similar to the typical Vampire world with a slight twist but what captured me was the very strong willed character, Michael Bishop.
At first, I could not place who Bishop was. After a little digging, I realize that he is one of the sub characters in Ms. Collins’ Realm Walker series. Though Bishop has a solid spot in this series, his story is not fully disclosed until now. You really don’t know a character until you get know a little of his past. Surprisingly, in this very short story, you get a good amount of who he is. This book will hook you to wanting more of him and the man who helps him at the end *wink-wink*. Knowing who Bishop is now, I’m hoping to get more of his story and possibly a happy ending for him.
The making of Michael Bishop is a quick read and great intro to Ms. Collins’ Realm Walker world. From what I know, The Making of Micheal Bishop will be one of the first books in the Realm Walker Short Stories. Obviously, a spin off of the series. If you haven’t read Realm Walker and Death’s Daughter, I would recommend reading that now, to bide our time until the next Bishop book. Ms. Collins has become one of my favorite authors and I highly recommend her work.
