For Jane Sparks being kissed in the library, where she works, is the most exciting this to happen to her in a while. She never realised it would lead her on a completely mad bend in her life, but one kiss from a sexy stranger mixed with her best friend getting on to her Facebook page apparently created a fake engagement. One that her sexy stranger, who turns out to be bad boy billionaire Duke Austen, seems happy to go along with. He needs someone to help clean up his bad boy image and Jane “Sweater Set” Sparks seems like just the girl to do the job.

I am beginning to really detest serials, they just leave you smack bang in the middle of the action and you have to wait what seems like an age to see what happens next. I swear it is a modern type of torture and should be stopped at all costs. I really enjoyed this story, it was funny and a little bit sexy, with a great heroine and a hero just bad enough to swoon over, but not bad enough to question the heroine’s intelligence.

As well as enjoying the story itself, I loved Maya Rodale’s idea of creating a contemporary story to match her historical one. This is book #1.5 in her Bad Boys & Wallflowers series, and if you have read the first book in that series, The Wicked Wallflower, you will not only recognise the familiar story line, but also the book that Jane Sparks is writing.

I really enjoyed this serial and can’t wait till the next part is out. In fact I liked this more than The Wicked Wallflower the first book in the series, so even if you haven’t read that it is worth giving The Bad Boy Billionaire’s Wicked Arrangement a try, it is guaranteed to leave you smiling and frowning (damn you serials!!) all at once.

  1. I bought and read before I realized it was a serial and there was a previous book. I really liked it and want to know what happens now.
