Talk about books with amazing cover art! I knew as soon as I saw the cover, I had to add this to my holiday reading list for this year. Plus it’s a friends to lovers romance and I’m a sucker for a sweet trope during this time of year.
Izzy and Leo have been best friends since childhood when she saved him from a group of bullies. They’re always each others’ rock and rely on each other for work too. When Leo’s photoshoot goes south he proposes that the client hires his best friend to manage their campaign. It’s their dream client and they get to work on it together. And may be the first time Izzy sees Leo in a different light.
This story has everything to setup the tone for the season. It’s sweet, has a sense of family and unity, and brings you even the snow capped mountains for the setting. I loved all of that! I also enjoyed the ease of the relationship between our main characters, even though I certainly liked Leo more than I liked Izzy at times. They were perfect for each other!
If you are looking for a book with the hero pining for the heroine, this is the holiday book for you. Leo is just that cinnamon roll hero to the max! He believes in Izzy even before she’s fully ready to believe in herself. I couldn’t ask for more than that. Except maybe that Izzy saw it sooner and they communicated better. I’ll definitely read more from this author in the future.
