“SHOOTING SCARS is another action packed thrill ride….and I am more Team Camden than ever.” ~Under the Covers
After the way we were left off with SINS & NEEDLES and the unending wait for SHOOTING SCARS, I finally had my paws all over it. And even though you may think this book was a lot about Javier, since Ellie was with him quite a bit (albeit against her will), for me this was all about Camden.
More of a bad boy and starting to spread his badass wings… Camden risked it all and didn’t put up with shit! *sigh* Yes, just when I thought I couldn’t love him more I am more Team Camden than ever. And along those same lines, I might’ve wanted to punch Ellie in the face a time or two.
SHOOTING SCARS is another action packed thrill ride! From the moment it starts it keeps you on edge until the very end. Things are not easy for Ellie. She’s in Javier’s hands and to my surprise, he actually wants something from her. To use her to kill someone. Except she won’t know until it happens and starts unfolding.
Ahhh Javier, you have a way of messing with a girl’s head. Starting with Ellie and then I was there right along with her. I could see that in his sick way he cared for Ellie a little. I did feel the love. But Javier is worst than ever. Ellie’s betrayal broke what little there was left of good in him.
But I think my favorite part was to see Ellie broken down. I am starting to understand her and I am anxiously awaiting to see the day she has some peace, love and acceptance.
Of course we can’t help but be thrown a curve ball at the end of the book. I am very curious to see how the last book in this trilogy will play but one thing is for sure. I hope my heart can take it!

He made me feel safe, whether I was in his arms or at his side or just in his presence. For the first time in my life, I had a protector — and I never knew I needed one until then.
“You are not mine to touch.”
She really was the only one I truly, drowning in my passion, loved.
Even at her worst, she made me want to be a better man. To be good enough for the both of us.
“There are fallen angels too. Angels with dirty wings.”
