It does have a great cozy hometown feel, a sense of family and community and a sweet romance.

Let me start off by saying that I haven’t read this series before but Annie here at UTC was a big fan. I’ve always wanted to read it so I jumped at this opportunity. I love second chance and small town romances!

So here’s the thing. Although I enjoyed this story, it felt a bit lackluster. My first impression of these characters maybe wasn’t the greatest. I’m never on board with the hero that dumps the heroine when he goes off to pursue his sports or college dreams out of town. and frankly, I would’ve liked to see some more groveling. Tyler seemed a bit whiny at times but then he made me come around when I saw him take over as coach for the kids.

There were definitely sweet and cute moments in this story and if you’re looking for a feel good story that doesn’t have too much angst, I think you’ll enjoy this one. It does have a great cozy hometown feel, a sense of family and community and a sweet romance.
