Apart from this book being completely hilarious and full of unlikely yet laugh out loud funny situations, what stood out for me was how sweet it was ~ Under the Covers

Gavin has been in love with Charlotte since he can remember and is determined to make her love him back. When his best friend Tyler makes a list it seems like the best, and only, course of action. Through the chaos of his friends and family’s antics and ill advised schemes to “help” Gavin get the girl, will he ever convince her to fall in love with him?

If you have read Tara Sivec’s Chocolate Lovers series, which if you haven’t you definitely should, you will recognise the crazy array of characters present in this book, including the main characters of Gavin and Charlotte. The last time we saw Gavin he was a young boy with a weird yet hilarious fascination with his penis, now that he is 25 and the love affair with his penis is still ongoing, only he wants Charlotte in on the action as well.

Apart from this book being completely hilarious and full of unlikely yet laugh out loud funny situations, what stood out for me was how sweet it was right from the very start you knew Gavin was hopelessly in love with Charlotte and it never wavered.

My main purpose in life isn’t to get in Charlotte’s pants. Sure, it’s something I dream about. Well, wet dream about…but it’s not the ultimate goal. I want her to love me. I want her to see me as something other than a friend. I want her to realize that we’re soul mates.

What I also liked about Love and Lists is that halfway through we had a POV switch, and we saw Charlotte’s side of things. So although you realised pretty early on that Gavin didn’t really have to persuade her to fall in love with him, she was already there, I loved seeing her perspective and her crazy ideas to try and seduce Gavin.

This was a really fun book, not very different in tone from her Chocolate Lovers series and full of the same characters, but fantastic if you are looking for a book full of belly laughs. I can’t wait to read the next in the series.
