[Sorensen] can make it hot while still making sure that there’s a whole lot of heart to go with it. That’s key. That’s what makes her books work so well. ~ Under the Covers

Some things are forever. It just takes a little while to get there. For Lila and Ethan, their love came on swiftly and unexpectedly but I think as you read their story, readers will just fall absolutely in love with them. Where the last book in this series left off, we are in a relatively good place with this couple. But there are still some loose ends and also some decisions that need to be made.

In this freebie short, Lila and Ethan go on their little adventure, spending time in their car and with wildlife. This close proximity makes Lila realize that she wants something more with Ethan. It isn’t enough to just be with him in the present. She wants the promise of a future. However, Ethan isn’t ready for that jump. He stalls and he creates a lot of doubts in Lila’s mind. But as the story goes on, you see that change in a believable manner.

I will say that this short is hella hot! It’s practically steaming with its sexiness! I have absolutely no complaints about this and actually encourage it in more of Sorensen’s books. She can make it hot while still making sure that there’s a whole lot of heart to go with it. That’s key. That’s what makes her books work so well.

I do have one complaint though: it’s way, way too short. I could probably read about these two forever.

P.S. I absolutely love that the cover shows off Lila’s tattoo.
