~ Under the Covers

This is my first time reading a book by Amelia Grey and I’ll be honest, I was drawn in by the beautiful colors of the cover. I definitely got sucked in because of the elegant look, but then quickly realized that this is actually the third book in the First Comes Love series.

In the end, I actually didn’t have much trouble following this story at all despite not reading the other books in the series. Each book does standalone very well. But I did feel like it took me a while to get into the story. Grey pens really great stories, but I did feel like the chemistry between the hero and heroine started off a bit slow. It did pick up toward the end of the book and I was happy with the ending.

I think I will definitely try reading the other books in the series based on my experience with this one. I know I even have Grey’s other series sitting on my bookshelves too, so I’m glad to have found another Historical Romance author to enjoy. I look forward to reading more books from Amelia Grey.
