With a heart pounding ending, Cutler did it again. She kept me glued to my book, and kept me intrigued page after page. Hot on the Hunt is a light romantic suspense novel that is perfect for a weekend read.

John and Alicia had parted ways in very bad terms. Alicia was left for dead by two men she had trusted and now she is out for revenge. John, on the other hand, has just been biding his time until he gets his chance to prove his innocence. Unfortunately for both of them, the only way to get what they want is to work together and hunt for the man responsible for their misery.

I fully enjoyed John and Alicia’s story. I love that both of them can handle their own, being that they are both ICE agents. I enjoyed both their ability to fight and strategize military moves. There was a lot of tension between them and John was hot as hell. He was always so cool and collected and I was so drawn to reading his every move. I don’t know why but I kept imagining john as Mark Wahlberg. 🙂 John and Alicia’s relationship was bit complicated. It’s full of betrayals, regrets, and definitely misunderstandings. But they did love each other and if there is a chance of repairing what was lost, forgiveness will be their only hope.

It was great seeing the old ICE team, Diego, Ryan, and their other halves, Vanessa and Avery. I think she is my favorite heroine in this series. I love her girly girl yet kick ass persona. Their mini reunion was intense and most definitely emotional. I’m not sure if Ms Cutler Plans to write more of this world but I’d like to read about the “other” ICE team mentioned.

I consider this book is a stand alone if you’d like to jump at it. However, there are minor spoilers from the previous books. I think if you’re not a stickler for them, it should not be a problem. I do recommend starting from the beginning anyway as all these books are very good reads.
