“His First and Last by Osburn is an enjoyable story of second chances in a small town setting full of humor and lots of feels.” ~ Under the Covers

California was a bust. After twelve long years of pursuing an acting career, Lorelei Pratchett is going back to her hometown of Arden Springs to lick her wounds. The plan is to regroup and to stay only as long as needed. Ardent Springs has never been kind to her and staying is not an option…or so she thought.

Spencer Boyd let Lorelei go once, but now she is back he is determined not to make the same mistake twice. Unfortunately, convincing Lorelei to stay will prove to be more difficult than he planned.

His First and Last by Osburn is an enjoyable story of second chances in a small town setting full of humor and lots of feels. The romance between Lorelei and Spencer was sweet. I love the courtship and Spencers attempts to make Lorelei stay. He was quite a romantic and knew how to play his cards right. I love Lorelei. Though some of her decisions were not great, she proved her worth as Spencer’s girl.

I also enjoyed small-town backdrop. It was full of gossips and meddling neighbors but also sweet and loving folks who would make you want to stay and move in. Lorelei’s friend Snow did just that, and I believe her story is up next. I’m predicting her story to be more angsty and full of spice. She seems to be the no-nonsense kind of girl and will voice out exactly how she feels. There’s definitely more of her than meets the eye. I can’t wait to read her story.
