If youโ€™ve read ๐™’๐™๐™–๐™ฉ ๐™„๐™› ๐™„๐™ฉโ€™๐™จ ๐™๐™จ, you know the ending left a lot to be desired. I am so incredibly happy Albertalli and Silvera teamed back up to bring us this sequel because it was everything I needed and more from these characters.

Ben and Arthur are at two different places in their lives. Arthur is in a happy, committed, serious relationship with a guy he met in Connecticut, and Ben is just having fun with a new guy he met in creative writing class, but desperately wants more.

When Arthur comes back to New York for a summer internship, he and Ben start spending time together again. When theyโ€™re with each other, they canโ€™t help remembering the time they were together.

For Arthur, he compares every part of his new relationship to the one he had with Ben, wondering whether or not he feels the same for Mikey.

For Ben, the city haunts him, every street and building serving as a reminder of the time he spent with Arthur. He feels suffocated, and when his new relationship offers him the chance to leave New York behind, he canโ€™t turn it down.

But neither of them are quite ready to move on, and maybe itโ€™s time they both put everything on the line and go for what they really want. It might just end up being what they wished for all along.

This entire book was an endless cycle of will-they, wonโ€™t-they, which I normally HATE. In this case, I loved it so much. These two, particularly Arthur, are firm believers in the work of the universe, and these two have to navigate sign after sign after sign from cosmic forces in order to end up where they end up.

Ben is struggling in a relationship that hasnโ€™t been defined as anything serious, but certainly feels series. He also feels suffocated in New York, and hates his college classes other than creative writing. All he wants is to get his book published, and maybe find a way to finally move on from Arthur. By the end, Ben has more than he couldโ€™ve ever dreamed of.

Arthur has a serious boyfriend, Mikey, who knows all about Ben. When Arthur ends up in New York for the summer, and he and Ben reconnect after months of silence, itโ€™s easy for them to fall into their old patterns. But Arthur is happier than ever with Mikey, and wouldnโ€™t do anything to jeopardize that. Then something happens that makes him question whether or not heโ€™s in the right relationship. In the end, Arthur is rightly with his soulmate.

The angst of this one was so well-balanced by the comedic relief from the one and only Dylan. I laughed so hard through this entire book. Dylan is a gem, and should be protected at all costs. Plus, his relationship with Samantha was just adorable, and I loved getting more from these two.

All in all, this book was beautiful and heartbreaking and hilarious and PERFECT.
